What is the Certificate of Financial Responsibility?

Some international students who have been deemed academically admissible will need to submit a Certificate of Financial Responsibility (CFR) and related financial documentation. These documents show your ability to pay the tuition and living expenses required for international students, and are required in order to receive your visa document. After the academic department recommends your admission, you will receive an e-mail to notify you of your updated admission decision, along with instructions to view your international checklist to complete missing checklist items. You will find a link to the form in your checklist.

Do not provide the completed form until we request it. Financial information that is received before the academic program recommends the applicant for admission or that is not submitted through the CFR will not be reviewed.
