If Windows Defender is interfering with the running and operation of a software installer or general use software, do the following:
- Go to Active Directory
- Go to NCSU > TEX > Computer Groups > TEX-Enable SmartScreen Warn and Allow Bypass
- Add the device as a member of TEX-Enable SmartScreen Warn and Allow Bypass
- Restart device
- Wait 5 minutes
- Sign in and attempt to run software again
Once software is installed, remove the device from the TEX-Enable SmartScreen Warn and Allow Bypass OU.
