PC Monitor Installation

For a PC Monitor installation you will need to bring with you:

Some monitors use mounted articulating arms. In these situations, you will need to use a screwdriver to mount the back of the monitor to the arm.

  1. Carefully unplug and remove the old cables.
  2. Unbox and place the new monitor in place of the old one.
    • A good practice is to lay the new monitor flat on lectern to make connections before mounting on stand. This allows easier cable routing and management.
  3. When re-cabling, be sure to practice cable management, so the cables are looped through the guide hole on the monitor stand, or neatly tied to the arm with Velcro. Some of the monitors come with cable sleeves so use when provided.
    • When installing cabling on Monitor arm, ensure to leave enough slack for articulation
  4. Plug the new cables in the new monitor with cable management, snap on any covers and make sure the unit powers on and identifies the HDMI or display port signal.
  5. Test the system to make sure the resolution settings are standard.
